Core Values
1. Inward Harmony through Prayer and Communication
" Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you." Philippians 4:8
Our core value is to recover the Kingdom of God in our minds. Our minds are at the forefront of the unseen, spiritual world where human desires and emotions, the voice of the Holy Spirit, and the voice of our own darkness is represented in thoughts, daydreams, and subconscious. ALL of these voices are NORMAL. Taking a few deep breaths, discerning and naming the voices, and choosing His voice renews our minds, stabilizes our emotions, leading too...
2. Being the Light of the World - Oneness with Christ
"His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins. Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall." 2 Peter 1:3-10
Whether you frame it as being the light of the world or oneness with Christ, this is the call. We are all in this together. This is our common faith coming from our Lord, God, and King in the Law of Christ.
3. Humility and Acceptance
We are mortal humans living in a world where there is life and death who tend to make the wrong decision in the name of survival, the desire to live. This is the condition of all mankind that isn't going to change and is normal. God does not call us to eliminate nor shun our nature, but to take the responsibility to admit this condition in the mirror, ask forgiveness from the Lord, and listen to the voice of the Lord. Our strength is in His grace, the gospel. It is about renewal and being conformed into His Image.
4. Good Health and Rest
Holiness is on par with godliness. Yet obsession leads to pride, evil, and eugenics and not caring at all leads to self debasement. There is a healthy body fat percentage, level of fitness, and acceptable, tasty food that your body and conscience accepts across your lifespan. Christ came to not only redeem your soul, but also to redeem your body. He calls us to take care of it, enjoy what we are capable of doing with it, and rest it.
5. Justice and Mercy
There is evil that is so egregious it must have a proper response with proper jurisdiction from the institution of government and church. While God has ingrained in us an innate sense of fairness and justice, He has given us laws in His Word that guide how government and church should ideally operate with mercy. This is not an easy task. One of the biggest tests of mankind is how we use authority, power, and protect life and property.
